Frequently Asked Questions

By appointment only – call or email to schedule

  • Will these classes teach me what I need to know to remove and prune trees? -Absolutely not. The information we cover is no substitute for on site training as an apprentice arborist in real working conditions. While these programs are designed to teach fundamental skills arborists use on a daily basis, you will not learn all you need to know to perform tree work safely and responsibly in a 4-6 hour course. Please hire licensed and insured arborists for your tree care needs.
  • How difficult is it? -Climbing requires a moderate level of physical fitness and uses muscle groups that most people don’t use on a regular basis. Most adults find it to be relatively challenging.
  • How many people are in a class? – Our professional climbing courses have a 2:1 maximum participant to instructor ratio.
  • How long is the class? -Depending on the class, anywhere from 3-6 hours of hands-on instruction and climbing.
  • How much does it cost? -$325 per participant for profesional climbing instruction $275 for aerial rescue training.
  • Who teaches the class? What are their qualifications?
